Subject:
Apple turnings, for the apple festival *PIC*

Mike Schwing from Md.
>DONE! Never thought I'd get tired of turning apple. I have a couple dozen of these in various sizes and shapes ready for an apple harvest festival in Biglerville or Gettysburg (can't remember which) in November. Not my booth but a friend is selling them. The trees used for these were cut down in the same orchards the festival surrounds.

The roughs for many of these were the first rough turnings I ever waxed, they've been drying for a year or more. Not a single one of them cracked, in contrary to many people's experience with apple, but boy did they warp! I made candy dishes, salad bowls, platters, etc... who knows what sells...

Thanks for looking.
