Subject:
duck and goose calls

>Hello I put this same message up on the hand tool side by mistake. My 16 year old son has taken in interest in duck and goose hunting and just got his first mallard yesterday. His friends that he went with had duck calls so he started asking me about them last night. I did find some parts and kits in a Hut catalog that just came. I have a couple of questions, How hard is it to make one that sounds right? Is there anywhere else that markets the kits, reeds, etc? My son does have some interest in turning and wood working so I thought this would be a good project for us to work together on, making calls for him and his hunting buddies. It seems to me that any time you can get a young person interested in something like this you better go for it, every hour spent on something like this is an hour not getting in to trouble or wasted on video games, etc. Any info on this subject would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, jared
