>Here's a couple of shots of my latest time spent in the shop. I've been waiting to turn this log since we harvested it back in April - it's a fantastic peice of 105 year old American Beech, 33 5/8" by 14 1/2". The blank weighed a few hundred pounds, and required a tractor and engine hoist to get it mounted. From there it took some twelve hours with Glaser and chainsaw to get it to this stage - now I wait!
