Subject:
drive center stuck, help!

Mike in Mystic
>Hi everyone,

I was testing out the new stand I made for my Jet min-lathe and I took a cut-off and stuck it onto the lathe. I used a brand-new 2-prong drive center. Well I played around for a bit and when I tried to get the drive center out I found it to be unbelieveably stuck. I took the tommy bar (or whatever it is called) through the headstock and was putting what I'd call a helluva lot of force into wacking on it and it hasn't budged at all.

I am at a loss as to what to do. I'm sure this can't be the first newbie to get himself into a spot like this, so hopefully you experts can point out my ignorance and help me get this thing out.

Thanks!

Mike
