Turning Archive 2004
I'm working on a piece of burl cap at the moment. I have the bottom turned and I'm ready to flip it around and hollow it am wondering how I remove the wax that it was dunked in. This coating is much more than just ancorseal. It's more like a thick wax? It looks like a deep fried Apple Fritter dunked in iceing that I'm turning! I'm thinking perhaps soaking it in alcohol to remove the wax? Any tips would be great and much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
