>Been turning some finger tops for my daughter recently, mostly 2.5" or so.... she loves them...
I was looking at some of my scroll saw wood and decided to do something different... this is 3 pieces of 1/8" aromatic cedar laminated together... heartwood to sapwood.. the spindle is from a short piece of jatoba I had that was too small for a pen...
turning the spindle that thin was a bit of a challenge, but sharp tools and a real light touch did it... Turning this small stuff is fun and a good way to develop your skills..
