Serendipity or what?

>While under no load, the motor on my mini lathe began smoking and burned out. I had ordered face plates and adaptor for my Nova chuck to fit this lathe, but they were sent with too fine a thread to fit the headstock. Oh well. Years ago I bought a used Sears lathe as a gift for my son, but he had no time to turn so I kept it stored in my shop. Now I have set up this smooth-running lathe, and low and behold, the face plates and adaptor threads fit just fine. A happy accident is what it is, or Serendipity....Ok, back to turning somethin'.
