5 Barns Gathering

>Best wishes to all who are off to the 5 Barns Picnic and turning event. I had hoped to drive down from Vermont to see some of our WC regulars face-to-face, but I have a big event of my own coming up, and can't get away for the weekend. To make matters worse, I now have a funeral to attend, as well. I hope I can make it down next summer.

I have a big hunk of Staghorn Sumac for Ruth Niles, which I had planned to bring (as a gift, or possibly trade for a new T-shirt). It will only get drier if I wait 'till next year !

Maybe some of the greater PA folks who attend the 5 Barns Picnic could venture a little northeast in October, and join me at the Totally Turning Symposium in Albany, October 30-31. Keith Tompkins, Russ Fairfield and I are all on the program, (as well as some internationally known turners like Micheal Hosaluk, Giles Gilson and Bonnie Klein), and I'm sure I speak for all of us in saying I hope you can attend the Albany symposium.

Ruth: I'll bring the wood if you came ...

Safe Spinning,
