Turning Archive 2004
>Finally getting around to doing some photography. Sorry about the hotspots, I'm using a stobe setup at the community college and the learning curve is steep. The blue is a bit wash looking in the photo, the live piece is a bit more intense blue.
This piece is soft maple, painted and dyed. It is about 10 inches high. I was trying to go with a simple finial that would echo the overall shape of the piece. The dye is primarily in the form of a lacquer toner. Color is built over multiple coats.
