>tree from hell. Has anyone had any experience turning the "Tree from Heaven" Ailanthus? It was imported from China in the late 1800s and is a junk tree on the Atlantic coast. I recognized it from the showy seed pods I though at first it might be a type of Sumac. Anyway I had a rather large one come down. I was in the Dr office reading a Nature magazine. They had an article about invasive species the Ailanthus being one. The article indicated its sucess is due to the fact it kills other trees around it. Apparently toxicologists have identified 6 toxins in its roots. I'm wondering whether I should leave it alone.
