Subject:
Elm?

David Hammond, in Powder Springs GA
>I just got an offer for a huge Elm tree last night; I rode over to see it, just about five miles down the road, and it's a log about 30"-32" inches in diameter, about twenty-two feet long... The kind gentleman that gave me the Beech is also offering to load this log, in three or so sections, and bring it to my wood yard.

So, what's Elm like to turn? I accepted the offer because of it's size, and because I've never turned Elm - seems rare that I would get a hold of an Elm this size because of the Dutch Elm disease... Did I find anything good here?
