Subject:
Onewa Live Center

Fog Tanner
>Has anyone taken a Oneway live center apart and replaced the bearings. There is a little more play than I care for and would like to replace the bearings and eliminate the radial movement. There is a brass ring with two holes in it, which I am assuming is screwed into the body to hold it together. But, I can't tell if it is screwed in, and can't tell if it is left or right hand threads.

I know that Oneway will replace the bearings for $35, but they would be the same bearings I want to take out and I can buy a Vic or Axminster for that. But, since I've got a $100 live center I would like to fix it...so any help is greatly appreicated.

Thanks,
Fog
