Subject:
Best jig for spindle gouge shaping

Todd
>Hi,

I have a question on sharpening spindle turning gouges. I have been researching sharpening systems and jigs in general, and the folks here have been very helpful providing their input.

I'm getting the Tormek and intend to use it (among other things) for turning tool maintenance, as it was highly recommended for such use here. Now I'm trying to zero in on a jig system. I'd like to know your thoughts on the best jig for sharpening spindle gouges, and also the best profile you recommend.

I have a new Wolverine system (not used), but if Kelton, or some other, is better, I would gladly exchange it. I'm looking for the most versatility, but not sacrificing performance.

Thanks everyone.
Todd
