Subject:
problems with green cherry bowls "speckling"

Tony Costine
>Hi, I hope someone here can help.
I'm turning cherry bowls from green wood. Some of them I've been wet sanding, some of them I've been drying the surface with a heat gun and sanding conventionally. When done, I bring them into the kitchen sink and give them a thorough wash, and wipe dry with a clean cloth. Sometimes within half an hour, sometimes longer, I'll find little blue dots appearing. It looks like very fine sprayed ink, and is unsightly...had thought of the water, but thought the wiping would've taken care of that. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.
