What size bandsaw are most of you guys using?

My major interest is Windsor chair spindle turning,I suspect any 14" 1 1/2hp would do.

However,I have attempted some green wood bowl turning. Hollow forms and segmented turning looks interesting also.

I have cut one set of bowl blanks with a small electric chain saw and a chop saw (not very pretty)

Lathe is entry-level Jet 1442 1HP, 14" over bed with a swivel headstock.

I suspect my limit would be vessels 5-7" diameter
8-10" high?

While we all would like a 20" Minimax, that just isn't going to happen.

What say you gentlemen?
