>Just got me "DS" (convex) grind Bob Sweazey 1/2" gouge today.
1) Any tips on maintaining the grind? Could not see a single facet in the grind - did not look like it was done by hand.
2) Any tips on uing this particular grind? I did a test cut a lunch, and it seemed much harder to keep it cutting on the inside of a bowl - hard to keep it "on the bevel".
