What do you do with...

>I'm just curious, and I have been thinking of this for a while now. There is a lot of talk (read gloats) about people that find wood and use it to make wonderful turnings. But what do you do with the shavings and scrap piecs from turning?

Personally, I think that to just throw it in the trash is not much better than the logs going to the dump. I tend to take my sawdust (from chainsawing & turning & planing & whatever else I do in the shop) and collect it in a garbage can. When the can is full I will mix everything in with my compost pile. By the end of the summer I will have some wonderful black dirt that I can use to fill in the holes that my wifes dog digs ;)

I'm just curious what you do with your sawdust.

Oh yeah, I used some as a mulch around a small maple tree and that tree has taken off like a rocket!
