Subject:
cutting brass pen tubes

Barry in Richmond BC
>I've been dabbling with some different pen designs (based on a read of Kip Christensen and Rex Burningham's excellent book)and I really like their design for a euro-style pen, WITHOUT the central brass ring. This requires a longer lower barrel than comes with a standard twist pen kit. I've seen that PSI sells the 7mm tubes in 10 inch lengths, which seems like a good deal (in a pack of 10).

The question is: how to cut them cleanly? hacksaw seems to leave a very rough cut...pipe cutter?

Suggestions would be appreciated.
