Filling Holes

>Question from a new turner: I have rough turned several bowls, coating each with Anchor Seal before leaving to dry. Some of the bowls have knot holes that must be filled before final turning. I planned to fill the holes with an epoxy mix before final turning. I assume all the Anchor Seal must be remover before filling the holes with epoxy, is this correct? What is the best way to remove the Anchor Seal, some type of solvent? Also, I have seen photos posted of turnings with holes/cracks filled with a turquoise mix. How is this mix made, is it turquise powder mixed with epoxy? Where do you purchase the turquoise? Can anyone recommend any other good filler?
Thanks in advance!
