Thinking of taking the plunge-tools? *LINK*

Tony Sade (Charleston, WV)
>I've long thought about taking the plunge into turning but serious space limitations in my small garage shop and what I've heard is the steep, expensive slope that will follow have stopped me. I've been leaning toward getting a mini lathe because that might be all that space allows.

Last night while cruising ebay I came across what I thought was a set of turning tools at a low price, and without an apparent thought (an all too common occurence, unfortunately) I placed a bid and won.

Now I'm wondering:

1. Are these even turning tools? (The seller simply described them as "woodworking chisels".) I think they are, but what do I know?

2. Will these be a decent starter set, or should I put them back up for auction and look elsewhere, with some thought actually involved?

3. Any idea what the alleged missing 8th tool might be?

Thanks,

Tony
