Subject:
DeWalt lathe spindle size?

Bill Grumbine (Kutztown PA)
>Greetings all

A friend of mine is looking to get a chuck and a faceplate for his old DeWalt lathe, but is not sure of the spindle size. I looked at it, and it does not look like anything I own - i.e. 1" x 8 TPI or 1 1/4" x 8 TPI. The model number on the end of the machine says 730-1. It looks to be a 1" spindle, and the thread count seems to be 10 TPI.

Does anyone here have any info or know where I could find some for this guy? Searching through Google got me a lot of weird and unrelated hits.

Thanks.

Bill
