Subject:
Which screws to attach a blank to a faceplate?

wilbur
>I'm finally tired of my borg special #8 x 1 1/4" screws losing their head as I try to attach a blank to a faceplate. So I looked through the McFeeley's catalog to look for something more suitable or durable. Then I went crosseyed with all the choices available.

So I thought I'd ask here, since WC people know everything. What kind of screws do you use to attach a blank to a faceplate? My blanks are all less than 12" in diameter, and the thickest one is 5" deep.

And, yes, I am drilling a pilot hole that should be big enough.
