>I hope this is not too far off topic. I have a Binks # 7 left over from my days of refinishing and building furniture. It has not been used very much in several years. I tried to use it Monday night and decided it needs a rebuild kit. I checked with some auto body supply shops inquiring about a rebuild kit for it. No one had rebuild kits. No one would rebuild my gun for me. Several people said they had never seen one. You would have thought I was asking about a bearing for a chariot wheel! The guy at my local body shop said, "That's about like trying to paint with a garden hose!" Is this spray gun that ancient? It was state of the art in 1975 and Binks is still selling new ones. What's up with this? Are the new guns that much better? Do I need to buy a new high tech gun? Does anyone have a new high-tech gun? What's the brand of choice these days. Dang, I suddenly feel old!
