Subject:
tool extension from your jig

>I know the Ellsworth jig suggests 2" and Wolverine jig suggest anything from 1 1/2 to 2". What do you all use. I picked 1 3/4 arbitrarily when I got my jig and have occasionally wondered if I should use shorter or longer.

Shorter means the jig will hit the grinder of stone sometimes and longer means you can't use that tool quite as long because you run out of length. Of course in reality when it gets that short it needs to be reground into something else.
