Subject:
Turning yard limbs

Tony - Memphis
>The question about crepe myrtle reminded me of my own question! I cut some pretty big limbs from a yoshino cherry and a wax myrtle last year. These are 2-4" in diameter. They have been fairly protected outside for at least a year now. What should I do to use a few pieces for turning handles or other small stuff? I'm concerned about bringing bugs into my shop. A buddy of mine just found powder post beetles very active in his stack in his garage shop. I've never attempted to use anything from my yard, so this is unkown territory for me.

Thanks,

Tony
