Can Anyone Stop Dogwood From Cracking?------WebKit

Emmett Manley------WebKitFormBoundaryeC5T7JtK+bIB1
>I am fortunate to have access to lots of large dogwood trees (4-9" diameter), some alive, some dead, some dying. The wood is absolutely spectacular but I am unable to keep it from cracking. I have tried letting it dry in the woods, in various shelters, and with the ends painted. Nothing seems to work. A few days after turning some beautiful item the cracks begin. Any ideas?
