Drilling a depth hole

>I've used several kinds of drill bits and they all wander. For smaller hollowforms, I have been using a spindle gouge and I personally think it's the easiest and best way to drill a starter hole.

So my question- what's the longest spindle gouge on the market? I don't need a a lot of flute length, just the overall length. I also don't think it needs to be that "beefy", but I'm thinking along the lines of 12" to 15" of steel.

Anyone know of such a beast, or do I have a date with a grinding wheel?
