Subject:
Sharpening drill bits

>Another question!

I have found a bunch of 5/16" and 3/8" diameter x 10-12" long drill bits, the type with a rather long point on the end. I quess these are Brad point bits? These were very cheap because they are dull.

I want to make some handles and make them into depth drills.

Does anyone know how to sharpen these type of bits?

Can the point be removed and shapened on a Drill Doctor type of grinder?

Any and all help is appreciated!!!!
