Turning Archive 2008
>I just purchase the Record 24 X/C Mini lathe from Woodcraft. Great deal, no taxes, no freght and for the price of $200.00 while they last. I have a Vicmarc Mini lathe now, but I have to break it down for demos. I think this might be just what I'm looking for. I have turned enough on the Jet Minis with their breaking parts that I don't think it is for me. Good England steel and cast iron is hard to beat.
I don't need the length on the Record and more than likely will be cutting the bars down. It has some good specs. You can check out the details from the web site. I gave. I have chucks, and other fixtures that will fit 3/4" x 16" from a Cornet I used to own and gave to my Grandson.
