OT Where have all the birdies gone *PIC*

>I haven't been turning much lately, spending some time doing some flatwork, but just had to share this photo I got this morning. We usually have a LOT of birds frequenting our feeders in winter, but not this year. I saw this guy earlier in the winter sitting on a birdhouse 50 yards or so from the feeders. This owl seems to be more like our cats. I guess they think that if they sit under (cats) or on (owl) the feeder, it will up their odds. I don't think the strategy works for either. It's cool to see an owl close like this, but I think I'd rather see the other birds he seems to scare away.

This guy is a barred owl.
