>Found this used woodchipper blade at the local dump and figured it was too good to leave and had a go at makeing a usefull tool. It took a bit of cutting of a section with a 41/2 cutting wheel but the end result was quite pleaseing and I quite like useing it rubbing the flat instead of the bevel. The edge has a strip of what I presume is tool steel and it takes and holds a very good edge.
I imagine any place which has an wood proccessing industry would be chucking away gems like this when they get too worn to sharpen.
I won't bother cutting it myself any more but will get an engineering shop to cut it into usable peaces.
