Subject:
Ambrosia Silver Maple HF *PIC*

>Hi Everyone,

I have been experimenting with shape and form on large vessels. This piece is Ambrosia Silver Maple and is 17 1/2" high x 11"dia x 3/16" wall and turned on the pith center. The collar has a 1 opening and the base is 2 dia.

I almost went through the bottom (1/32") so I backfilled with CA and sawdust. That could have been a really bad day or weekend. I applied 6 coats of Waterlox to give the finish depth. The white silvery chatoyance areas look like quilted figure but I do not know if that is the correct why to describe it. How would you describe that figure even though it is hard to see in the picture? Please comment on shape & form etc.

Thanks

Andy DiPietro
