Subject:
motor pulley advice needed

Steven Kubien
>Evening everybody,

I've got a Nova 1624-44 and the pulley which attaches to the motor keeps slipping. This causes excessive vibration as the belt gets twisted and an excruciating noise once the pulley makes contact with the headstock casing. I have tightened the set-screw on the pulley within a centimetre (ok, inch) of it's life but no love yet. I was thinking about Loctite but have always viewed that (Loctite) as permanent and non-reversible. My concern is that the pulley will continue to slip and I won't be able to move that screw.

I have a message into Teknatool and haven't heard back from them yet. Anyone got a suggestion(s)?

Thanks,
Steve Kubien
