Subject:
Silicone problem

Bill Crommett
>Because I wanted to make a couple of wine goblets for my Daughter, I ordered some goblet tops from Craft Supplies. But because I thought best to practice on something cheap first, so I went to the local thrift store and bought some $0.25 goblets and used them for practice. No problem with the first 6 practice goblets using the silicone as advised here. Of course Mr. Murphy showed up at the last minute and on the last GOOD goblet a big chunk fell out somewhere. Now I need help in getting the old broken glass out of the beautiful Dogwood stem. What can I use for solvent that won't destroy the finish on the wood or discolor it beyond repair ?
