>I used this faceplate to create the box lid in the previous post. I'm thinking of some improvements that will let me more easily set position more precisely and if I succeed, I'll post more pics. I used a ruler to measure the offset when doing the box. It would also benefit from a built-in indexing control.

All holes are 1/4". The T-track is 3/4" x 3/8" from Lee Valley, along with the 1/4" T-bolts. The 1/4" matches well with #10 screws. Counter weights can easily be mounted using the extra holes.

P.S. I tried to clean the carpet in the paint program. Over the holidays, I'll try to do it to the real carpeting.
