>Here's another one that didn't come crashing down. The cracks in the wood came during the drying process, and I decided to "stitch them together" with silver plated copper wire. If you look on the lower right and mid left, you can see the effect.

In the backdrop, you'll also see a Christmas tradition - I carve a Santa each year out of basswood. Both started as patterns by Shawn Cipa, but I can't follow a pattern for my life, so they end up largely my own creation. My wife paints them, and she's behind a year. The taller one is from last year. The one with the tree is this year's version.
