Subject:
air bubbles in epoxy

>I'm trying to help a friend who makes jewelry that is filled with colored epoxy. She has the same problems I have when using Inlace or some of the clear resins. I always get a bubble or two that you try to fill and then when you are turning or sanding the fill down you open it up and have to fill again.

Does anyone know how to elimanate the bubbles. We tried a vacuum and it raises the bubbles to the surface but they don't pop and level. We didn't have a vacuum gauge and she was using a refrigerator compressor that her husband rigged up so I don't know how much vacuum it was pulling.

I know we have a lot of knowledgeable people here so I thought I would throw this out and see. Thanks
