PM 3520B: How to check for out of round

Aage Rendalen
>When I put rough-turned bowls back on the lathe I struggle at times to get the bowl to run true. Yesterday I worked on a poplar bowl that I bandsawed out of five months old square blank (most tear-out prone wood I have ever worked on) and it never quite quit wobbling. I began wondering if the lathe could be at fault. When I push in the stop bolt, there is at least 1/8" play in the spindle. I don't know if that is a problem. I use a supernova chuck. What do you think it is? Wood going out of round because of warping during the turning process? Faulty lathe or faulty technique?
