Subject:
CA glue turns white question?

Barry Irby
>I have been using whatever CA glue Woodcraft sells for years. I usually hit it with accelerant, especially when I rub sawdust into a defect and soak it with thin CA. (not a strength issue). Lately the CA has been cooking off and turning white. I stopped using the accelerant and waited for it to set on its own. That seemed to help. But, yesterday I used thin CA to fill a hairline crack in a piece. I wanted to reinforce the crack. I put tape down both sides and put the CA in, letting it soak into the crack by capillary action and left it. After about ten minutes it looked fine and I removed the tape. This morning the crack is white. (it was inside the house, not in the cold shop) Any suggestions?
