Amazon rosewood box.... *PIC*

>Here is a box that I turned from a stick which had "Amazon rosewood" scrawled on it. It is similar in some ways to any other rosewood but differs in that it seems to have open pores in places. It was very hard and dense. I used a prototype Hunter swan neck to hollow this box and it peeled near transparent shavings from this wood. My photo does not show the reddish purple grain that intersperses the black. It polished up very nicely. This box is 2" tall and 2 3/4" in diameter. Comments appreciated...
