Finish question for you, Russ

>or anyone else who cares to chime in. I have a dozen pieces in the finish process. The wood has been sealed. I've been applying an oil finish that has been giving good results. The last coat that was put on earlier this week has not dried, but is now sticky.
1) Does Oil finish go bad all of a sudden?
2) Should I wipe the pieces down to remove the sticky?
3) Should I bother with thinning the finish or should I chunk it and get a fresh bottle?
