Subject:
Tormek Turning Jigs

David - Indianapolis
>Having recently acquired a lathe and a number of lathe tools (gouges, parting tools, skew chisels, etc.) I am curious about the jigs that are available for the Tormek system. Would you recommend buying the turning kit ($240) that contains the universal gouge jig, multi jig, tool rest with TORLOCK, etc., or just one or two of the attachments,i.e., the SVS50 and SVS185 ($120). It is hard to compare because the kit does not provide part numbers for its components which would allow met to compare with parts available individually. As I have a Tormek, I would rather purchase attachments for this system rather than buying something new. My intent is to turn smaller items while learning, take a class or two, and see where my interests take me.
Thanks,
David
