Subject:
Finish for rosewood or cocobolo?

wilbur
>I'm trying to turn some bottle stoppers with East Indian rosewood and cocobolo for the first time. I've never used either of these woods before. I'm kind of stuck as to what I should use as a finish. I have read that both woods have oils in them, so I don't know if that would make some finishes either more or less appropriate for these woods.

Any suggestions? I have Waterlox and the Liberon turners' polish/wax stick system on hand, but could easily be persuaded to go shopping.
