Money and a Woodturning Hobby.....

>I'm considering buying a new lathe and a new bandsaw. Both pretty pricey. I got to thinking about whether or not I could justify the cost to support a hobby. Well, I make money every year by selling my work and by teaching woodturning. But wait a minute....I've been selling my work for aver 20 years and teaching for almost that long. So multiply that yearly figure by 20...I'm amazed!!.. It's into 6 figures!! I refigured it...yep, I actually took in all of that money with my hobby. Okay, so I guess that I get to buy a new lathe and a new bandsaw.

For many years I had a couple of other hobbys. Boating and golfing. I sure didn't make any money on them!!
