Subject:
What does a bowl turner want?

Ron Bauman
>I was talking with the guy I buy a lot of my lumber from; he has a small mill near me. He has a small amount of short logs some of which I'm interested in, but a lot that just sit around. I suggested that he cut them for turners, but to be honest I wasn't able to tell him how to go about it. Now, knowing that the readers of this site always talk about getting their supplies here and there, I wondered what to tell him to do. Do you want the biggest cut, the ends painted, waxed, a log halved, quartered, etc, etc. I'll supply him with your answers, and he and I both thank you.
