Interesting turning project.. *PIC*

>Spent yesterday teaching my wife's cousin how to use my lathe. Ron turned these guys. They are "flagstaffs" for his Boston Whaler and a friends Boston Whaler.

It seems that a lot of them get broken while docking. You'd need a lathe with a long bed (40" or so) or to do them in segments. He turned a smaller guy (35") and a segmented larger guy (47" total length). The catalog price is ~$45 on up. So if you live near boaters, keep this in mind for presents or something to sell.
