>Here is a bowl that I turned from some siberian elm that Andy DiPietro and I spent a day in a field cutting on... left 10x what we took.
It's probably 14"x4", and an inch thick. I left the rim thick because I was going to inlay some abalone shell (I bought beads on ebay). I think it would look OK, but I think it would go better with walnut. Comments welcome.
