Subject:
A ROBUST Moment *PIC*

Ed Moore
>A cabinetmaker friend was commissioned to make some cylindrical pedestals for a metal artist. He has constructed this birch-staved piece with circular MDF inserts for me to turn. I never envisioned using the Robust for this sort of thing, but here we are.

A larger pedestal was made in two halves. It only needs the top insert turned to complete it. The top will be a piece of Baltic birch plywood with a 1/8th inch laminate of the same birch used for the staves.

Since the cabinetmaker needs a better lathe, I have encouraged him to get a Powermatic 4224 for future pedestals.
