buttons

>For fun (and because of a lack of motivation to tackle any of the bigger projects I should really be doing!) I started 'wasting' some time the other day turning some jewelry type stuff. It's kind of started to spiral out of control already, it's fun and addictive, working that small is good control practice for me, plus I'm getting a charge out of decorating with pigment markers, gold leaf etc.

A few people have seen some of the pins/brooches and asked if I could turn buttons--crafter types, eyes for bears and so forth. I've never turned a button (well, that's a lie, I did do one today just to see...lol) and was wondering if anyone had any information, tips, techniques etc?

And as a side question: anyone having any luck selling trinkets like pins, earrings and buttons?

Thanks.
