Subject:
Morse taper on a drill chuck

Michael Brady
>I purchased a drill chuck on a #2 Morse taper at WC to use with my Jet mini. I am not much of a turner, much this accessory seemed to have many uses. I know that the chuck is used mostly in the tail stock, but I can see applications for it rotating in the headstock. My problem is that the morse taper does not want to seat in the head stock female taper. It's like it bottoms out before seating. Works fine in the tail stock. Could some of you with more experience tell me what is going on?
